About These Terms

Welcome to LabNova (“LabNova”, “we”, “our”, “us”), operated by Lab Nova Ltd, registered in England and Wales. These Terms of Use govern your use of the LabNova mobile application (the “App”) and this website. By accessing or using the App or this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 14 years old to use the App.
• If you are under 18, you confirm that you have parental or guardian consent.
• You are responsible for ensuring that your use complies with applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account using Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or Email with OTP verification. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. App Services

LabNova provides digital flashcard-based study content, progress tracking and learning analytics, personalized study experiences, and in-app purchases for premium flashcard collections. All content is provided for educational purposes only.

4. Purchases and Subscriptions

• Certain content requires a one-time purchase or subscription (Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly).
• Price and billing frequency are displayed before purchase, and subscriptions automatically renew at the same price and interval unless cancelled before the end of the current period.
• Payments are processed via Apple In-App Purchases (or Google Play Billing on Android) using third-party providers (e.g. Superwall). LabNova does not store your payment details.
• You can cancel anytime from the App’s Profile → Manage Subscription, which opens your device’s App Store or Play Store subscription settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
• If a free trial is offered, its length and the price you’ll be charged after it ends are shown before you start the trial. You can cancel any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
• All purchases are final and subject to Apple’s / Google’s refund policies.

5. License and Usage

LabNova grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App and this website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
• Copy, distribute, or resell app or website content
• Reverse engineer or modify the App
• Use the App or website for unlawful purposes

6. Intellectual Property

All content, designs, logos, flashcards, and UI elements are the intellectual property of LabNova and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. No rights are transferred to you except as explicitly stated.

“AP” is a trademark registered and owned by the College Board, which is not affiliated with, and does not endorse or sponsor, LabNova, the App, or this website. References to AP subjects describe the exam content LabNova helps you study for, not an official College Board product.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:
• Abuse or interfere with the App or website
• Attempt unauthorized access to any account or system
• Submit false or misleading information
• Post abusive, threatening, or impersonating content (including leaderboard display names)
• Use automation or scraping tools

Violation may result in suspension or termination of your account.

8. Termination

LabNova may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, fraudulent or abusive behavior is detected, or if required by law. You may delete your account at any time via the App (Profile → Delete Account).

9. Disclaimers

• The App and website are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
• LabNova does not guarantee exam results or academic performance.
• Content accuracy is maintained to best effort but not guaranteed.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LabNova shall not be liable for indirect or incidental damages, data loss, or exam outcomes or academic decisions arising from use of the App or website. Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to LabNova in the past 12 months.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App or website after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
